Lovestruck Robot Band (out of Orlando, Fl.)

Within weeks of the release of their debut album, I Wanna Be in a Band, Lovestruck Robot is taking off in a big way by beating out more than 300 bands to win the Florida GRAMMY Showcase on opening night of the 2011 Florida Music Festival and Conference. Judged by music industry experts based on songwriting, song quality, and their live performance, the band took home first place and more than $25,000 in prizes. Formed in Orlando, Florida, these very talented guys are currently performing at live venues around the southeast sometimes an average of four to five nights a week to ensure their life in music. By recording, playing at very notable live music venues around the southeast, and continuing to impress fans and establish and themselves as serious musicians, they have a fan-base that is established and continues to grow. Lovestruck Robot's debut record (11 songs) was released on April 12, 2011 and the promo has already received positive feedback from program directors, distribution contacts and the general public. The band has a dynamic sound that some industry personnel have described as the outcome of collaboration between Maroon 5, Justin Timberlake, and Lenny Kravitz. Lovestruck Robot recently shot a music video for their new single, I Wanna Be in a Band. The song is a tongue-in-cheek description of the stereotype musicians often have and how they are treated before and after "making it big." Singer/songwriter and frontman, Jace Magee, is from Moore, Oklahoma and moved to Orlando in 2002 to pursue his musical dreams. He joined an R&B singing group where he toured the U.S. as the opening act for Hall & Oates. He later met, Zsaki, Gabe, Jon Jon, and Darrius. Their common obsession leaves these lovestruck robots with no choice but to be irresistibly drawn to the music they love
