SAN FRANCISCO -- Ticketing software company ShoWare has expanded on their Facebook ticketing application allowing clients to not only sell tickets through their Facebook fan page but let artists and vendors and fans to add the 'buy ticket' button to their pages.
The button will allow consumers to purchase tickets directly through a user's Facebook page without leaving the site. After clicking the button, the customer will be able to see events with available tickets, select their seat of choice and purchase the tickets, either to print at home or pick up at the will-call window. The customer can also 'share' their purchase directly from the confirmation screen. Meanwhile, the artist or vendor will still be able to manage their inventories through the venue's ticketing software.
ShoWare was an early adopter of social media and claims the title for being the first ticketing company to develop a fully integrated Facebook ticketing app, which debuted in December of last year.
"This opens up a whole new world of possibilities for ticketing within Facebook, this new functionality will allow venues and artists playing at those venues to have Facebook Ticketing not only on the venue’s Fan page, but also on the artist’s Fan page," says Joe Wettstead, Vice-President of Sales and Marketing at ShoWare.
