After getting the news that Planet Radio shut their doors and left a lot of people heartbroken, a couple of young men  didn't miss a beat and picked up right where they left off and continued the tradition of having a super awesome concert for all the Rock fans at around the usual time and called it THE BIG TICKET!
It is now up to Jacksonville and the Rock Fans to make a statement by coming to this event and keeping the music alive and keeping the festival going!
To throw a festival of this magnitud is a HUUUGE risk and if Jacksonville fans don't come out and support it they wont be able to bring it back.  I know there are tons of Rock fans in Jacksonville so make this YOUR festival and make it bigger and bigger every year, put Jacksonville on the map again!

The Black Keys
The Black Keys have been filling concert venues for years with their form of Blues-Rock hybrid. On 12/3 they will bring their act to the main stage to headline The Big Ticket. The band is currently on tour opening up for The Kings Of Leon.
While Jacksonville is no stranger to the trio that is Chevelle, their die-hard fans made the message loud and clear - bring the boys back to rock the River City...and they will! The band will soon begin work on the next album, but until then they are ours!
Against Me!
Local rock fans will know this band very well. Tom and the boys have been around since 1997 getting their start in Gainesville. The band makes it out to Jacksonville every once in a while for a special occasion and we can't think of a better reason.
A Day To Remember
Another band on the bill with a local-ish flavor, ADTR formed in Ocala in 2003. They've made their name by blending metalcore, and pop-punk in a way that satisfies mainstream ears, while still being a credible member of the underground scene.
Florida continues to be represented well on this Big Ticket lineup. Not only has Anberlin made national headlines with multiple commercially successful albums, but they love playing the Sunshine State, and we can't wait to see them live.
Paper Tongues
While the band continues to blow up big outside of Jacksonville, this 7-headed music juggernaut already has established the First Coast as a home away from home. Singles like "Ride To California" and others have continued to grow their base here.
Dirty Heads
Their brand of Reggae-Rock has been making heads bob and people sing along for the past few months. The #1 hit "Lay Me Down" has captured the Summer of 2010 and they hope their follow-up "Stand Tall" does the same into the Winter.
It wasn't enough that the band stopped by Jacksonville in June to surf with our listeners, they had to come back and play a show - to a sold out Murray Hill Theatre. Now we're asking them to do it again for a third time in Met Park.
